Default what is up with used part prices?

I've been looking at used TBSS intakes and they want like $350+ and they are only $142 brand new on eBay and such. Also a gto/vette TB is $314 used at cheapest but can get it brand new on amazon for the same exact price! Who is buying this overpriced used stuff???

Would it be because the used stuff is fully dressed out and the new is just the basic part without an of the extras? Just speculating...

I noticed the same thing, like ls3 intakes are $230 new on amazon but people ask $250 for them used wtf? And ls1/6 intakes for $300, that's ridiculous they should be $150 max.

and you can't blame the sellers, they are just feeding off the people stupid enough to go buy the first one they come across and never research what it is new or shop around at least!!! Wrong but it is what it is

Ever price out the fuel rails on the TBSS style intakes? They're a lot more than the intake itself.

And why can't you use the fuel rails?

So get a vette regulator for $40, clip it onto the back of the returnless rail, and connect your oem fuel lines. Done. Zero modification necessary, everything clips on in seconds.

that may be true however I Dont mind buying a used one but I'm not paying $300 for a 10+ year old factory part with who knows how many miles on it when a new one isn't much more or sometimes less expensive

And what power level would this be? Stock rails are good for a LOT of power, even on E85.

So what does that make those who buy it? And THEN how retarded is the seller?
