fuel pressure drop after warmed up.

at 450rwhp you making 550hp at the engine which i'm using a 20% drivetrain loss. You wont have much pump above that. The reason its holding up fine is the Deka 80lb at 43psi so at 58psi they flow 90+lb. So that this point your only limited by the pump flow at said pressure. If I were you I would drop fuel pressure to 43psi and input the 80lb as the flow rate as you wouldnt be getting close to maxing those 80lb at 43psi even at 650hp or 500rwhp.
Not sure who told you about that but plenty of guys run the 340s and 380s or even the 450s I think with the stock truck rails.

so i wrapped some heat reflective tape around my fuel lines where it gets close to the exhaust, made sure there wasnt any kinks in the line. removed the ground and relocated it onto a different spot on the frame. (cleaned and bolted to frame). removed the gas cap. think im going to lift the bed up, check the filter and most likely do the re-wire and maybe order a pump
So that's after its warmed up and starts running low pressure.
That's after turning the key off for 2 seconds and turning it back on.

It’s running a intank 255? I would be checking fuel sock on the pump. What is the fuel level during these tests? Hard to say but can you check pump amp draw when it’s loud vs when it’s not?

yeah its a in tank. i got a half tank of gas right now. i dont think i can get to the wiring without lifting the bed. if i have the bed lifted i dont think ill be able to make it get to where its noisy. those videos were after like a 5-10 minute drive. 2 pulls in boost. then noticed it started running lean while cruisin so just rolled home.

As far fetched as it might be there is another possibility to could explain how shutting it off for couple seconds would make it run fine for a short time. I wonder trash is getting sucked against the pump pick-up then it falls away when it's shut off for a second them picked back up again. Not likely but is possible, Something to keep in mind if you pull the pump.

Disconnect the pressure line at the engine and turn the pump on to push all the fuel out of the tank. Shouldn't take more than a few min. Just pump it into a couple of gas cans.

so today i replaced the fuel filter. was only on for just over 100 miles. fuel was dark brown and sandy looking. havent got to test drive it yet to see if it helped any. was looking on rock auto tho and noticed i can get a new tank for $67 shipped. which is cheaper/ about the same as local companies charge to clean a tank. so im most likely just goin to order that and a new aeromotive 340 pump and most likely a wiring kit if i can find one thatll work. hopefully thatll fix everything. and again thanx everyone for the help. i will update with results.

There may not be anything wrong with the pump other than the screen getting plugged, Definitely explains why turning it off for a few seconds let it run again.
Any idea what the its from?

the truck sat for 10 years before i bought it. it used to have a lt1. when i got the truck i pulled the tank and tried the home tank cleaning products. tried muriatic acid. letting it sit, shake with stuff in it a couple of times but i guess i didnt get all of it. at the time i filled it with water to see how clean it was and it was then. im guessing running new gas through it lately took off more stuff from the walls inside. it ran fine with the lt1 for a couple months but guess the fuel pressure demands of the turbo 5.3l is a bit more than the lt1's.
im just glad i figured it out.

so it looks like that was the issue. rain finally cleared up enough that i got to drive it a bit. ran fine got into boost multiple times with no issues. also this aeromotive pump is alot quieter then the walbro was. when i first went to prime it after installing everything i thought it was a dud cause i couldnt hear it.
