My car hit 100k the other day so i'm replacing the coil packs, plugs and wires. I bought Street Fire coils, MSD 8.5 wires and NGK plugs. I want to replace the injectors while I'm in there, but I wasn't sure which brand is best for a stock 99 Fire bird with the ls1. Which brand have you guys had the most sucess with?

Me personally, I would not have changed any of that stuff because I'm a cheap tightwad. Run some fuel system cleaner through your fuel injectors at high concentration (in maybe two gallons of fuel) and they should clean up a lot. And save you from buying new AC Delco / Delphi fuel injectors.

I'm at 200k and still running the original coils and injectors. They're not really a wear part like the plugs are so there's no point changing them if they still work. Wait until you start moding and then change those out to fit the rest of the build.

I definitely would not have replaced the functioning factory coils with those aftermarket pieces. And I agree with leaving the stock injectors for a stock engine if they aren't showing any issues.

Run Chevron Techron on your next fill-up (the one good for 20 gallons) and leave your injectors alone.

Return the Coils.

Buy more beer with saved money.
