Default 5.3 Build, Injectors?

motor spec:

Comp Cams XR275
918 Springs
PRC 60CC stage 2.5 heads with 2.02 intake valves
Speed pro flat tops
Double Roller Comp chain
GMPP ported oil pump
Balanced Bottom end
Clevite Bearings
Sealed power rings
Patriot E-rod Headers ( chassis clearance)
FItech ULTIMATE LS engine controller
Walboro inline pump and corvette filter/regulator
summit stock lifters
Comp .080 magnum 7.3" push-rods
truck intake with return-less rail
cable TB

The final issue... Injectors? Am i correct assuming the stockers will in no way keep up?
Looking at the DW 44 or 60Lb/Hr direct fit truck injectors.

That's not a wild setup by any means. Stock truck injectors might be able to hang in there as long as you don't get the early 21.8 lb versions.

I have 2 motors, ones an 02' ( the one that is described above) and ones an 04' I could harvest the 04 injectors if they are bigger... How do i tell?

Default Denso 42 .lbs

Hi Nathanl, I can supply eight Denso 42.lbs fuel injectors for your requirement.
Their cost is very fair AND they are a flow matched set with a dead time sheet.

Technically, yes. The issue with reusing old injectors is that you don't know what kind of shape they are in. I grabbed some flex injectors a few months ago and flowed them on my flow tester. 2 were completely clogged, the other 6 had as much as 50% variation.

You can send the flex fuel injectors out to be cleaned and flow benched. It cost me $80. After PCM tuning I think they would be as close to perfect for your motor as you could ask for.

OK so im running the flex injectors and its doing pretty well, I get an occasional issue where the motor is screaming along, COme into a tight section of track and it just bobbles and chokes even with the throttle on the floor.. Like its way lean or way rich... Pumping throttle does nothing, and then boom 5 seconds later it clears up and takes off... Im wondering if i dont have the injector flow rate correct in the ECM... Im running the Vette filter, With the single returnless port on the fuel rail.. Can anyone tell me what the CORRECT flow rate for these injectors is at my Rail pressure?

What vehicle is this setup in? Stock fuel tank? Are you sure it is not a fuel feed issue caused by fuel slosh in the tanks' pickup? Maybe it needs some baffling or a fuel mat

It’s in an off-road racer, full aftermarket fuel cell with the foam stuff

Walboro pump corvette reg, -6an line from tank to fuel rail..

tank was 2/3rds full...

i wouldnt think it’s slosh...

Can you "read" the FItech ULTIMATE LS engine controller to diagnose the bobble/choke ?

The only code it keep throwing is an 02..

it allows logging but the handheld would never stay plugged in during a lap of a race to log..

What kinda exhaust are you running, do you have enough pipe after your 02 sensors?

The flow rate for the denso injectors above are at 380cc @ 3bar , 36#/hr at 43.5 PSI.

Is that 43lbs fuel pressure like the average for the engine to run as opposed to the 58psi that were all thought to running at...........cause I noticed on my nova I get 54/58psi. In my c10 I get about 46/50psi...both have same identical intake's and fuel systems (pumps ).....they both seem to run fine

43.5lbs is usually the standard , GM does 58psi for their standard fuel pressure. Is your c10 boosted by chance?
