I went with an aeromotive pump because:
1) they are known to be high quality and reliable
2) my buddy was running one for quite a while on his head/cam gto and no issues
3) I read multiple tests where the aeromotive beat pretty much all the other pumps and weee more consistent

We have had much better luck with the racetronix. They are literally a fully engineered setup from start to finish with a hotwire harness and nearly all are plug and play. Simple and easy. With much better components and options.
The aeromotive stealth 340 pumps we had issues on and alot of customers did also
Most of the issues with racetronix pumps are actually either improper install or a bad charging system.

i dont doubt what you say. Maybe I’ll check into racetronix for my next round of mods coming up. I’m probably gonna need dual pumps. Or I thought about just doing a boost a pump for simplicity.

Just to share my experience. Back in July, I ordered the racetronix 340 and hotwire kit from the ws6 store. About 3 weeks ago the pump failed. I'm in the process to figure out why. I am running a corvette style fpr/filter.

Perhaps the more restrictive the return line is back into the tank, the more fuel gets backed up at the regulator, the regulator then gets overpowered, resulting in higher fuel pressure that is hard on the pump and kills them. I guess you Fbody and c5 vette guys have a 5/16" return line. The vette filter/regulator has a 5/16" return line if I remember right.
My mustang had a 1/4" return line in the fuel tank hat from factory, scary stuff. I currently have a new hat with a -6AN return and feed. So maybe it would accept a larger than 255 lph fuel pump and still maintain a reasonable fuel pressure around 58 psi. Just assuming I'd be better off as I also have -6AN line from the fuel tank hat return fitting to the vette filter but it does go into a -6AN to 5/16" at the regulator.

Normally early failure is related to low voltage or current to the pump.
Not higher pressure.
We will be happy to replace the pump. But make sure to check your charging system, connections, and battery. I normally recommend the truck alternator also or at least the HD pigtail upgrade.
