Corvette pressure regulator/ filter question

Has anyone had a issue with these? I installed a Brand new AC Delco EP381 pump and one of the corvette reg/filter and im only getting 10lbs pressure to the rail!!! I can hear it bypassing and pushing fuel back into the tank. No its not in backwards...lol. Could it be bypassing and dumping to much back into the tank?

If its real AC Delco, and it IS the Corvette filter, and NOT the s10 flex filter, then no. I have seen aftermarket ones do it, and then people hook up the S10 flex setup backwards because they are opposite of the Corvette filter. As far as the pump, since it is also stock, it should not bypass that much, as you know. I think its just bad. It sounds like you know your stuff on these.

I think it's the pump... I plugged the return and still only 10-15 pounds of pressure. As soon as I shut the pump off the pressure bleeds off instantly which I'm pretty sure it should maintain pressure. I'm curious if the rubber house between the pump and sender has ruptured or came off... I'm gonna cut a hole in the floor instead of dropping the tank (this is in a '87 K5) Abd pull it out tonight 🤞

You're positive that you don't have them on the regulator backwards? The one in the middle is the return, not the feed.

I was literally just about to update this post... The goddamn rubber line that goes between the pump and sender ruptured... Repaired and truck is now running for the first time. Little rough but it's running... Once it's all together I'll take it to get a tune
