My experience so far has not been very good. Car ran fine but I was concerned about it running lean so brought it to dyno to measure AFR before beating on it. I did two pulls. First was e13 or so and the AFR was 11.7. The second was e63 and AFR was 13.1. It gained minimal power while going crazy lean. I haven’t given up completely. I will bring it to my tuner to see if he can get it to work.

Any updates on this? I just came across it online and was about to start a thread in here when I saw this one. This looks like a great option for guys like me especially with a 98. I really want to run E85. But I was told by my tuner its not an option on my year because you can't run a flex-fuel sensor. I'm really tempted to buy it. The money isn't an issue I just want to make sure it actually works. I've got a Racetonix 255 but its like over 10yrs old. Not sure if it would be ok for E85. Probably not. Would need a newer one most likely. I'm NA but a lot of people in other set ups are NA and running E85. I'd take an extra 30hp any day of the week.

As a 98 supercharged trans am that's making 520rwhp on 91octane. I would love to be able run e85 and see the additional benefits, while having the option to go back to pump gas during the winter season. I'm just worried that the 98pcm will not react appropriately with proflex commander, leading to premature engine failure.

Following! 2002 stroked turbo LS-1 (~650RWHP). I live in Phoenix, and I've been thinking of various options not for more power (although that's always a bonus), but how to make the car run cooler during our 100+ degree summer days (record was 76 days in a row above 100, and this year we are on day 91 so far...). The car pretty much sits during the summer, even with switching to Evans waterless coolant, running a custom louvered hood, a power steering cooler and a really big IC with giant fans. I can drive for about 20 minutes with the AC on, and about 30-40 minutes with it off before I have full heat soak. Then I just watch that temp gauge float above normal (never quite overheats if you drive the car granny style with the windows down, but that certainly is no joy). We fortunately have a lot of E85 options in Phoenix at the pump, as well as a Facebook group that posts actual ethanol concentrations from specific stations. The entire engine was fully rebuilt for 1,000 HP, and everything else was overbuilt for more performance, so I should have the capability for my injectors and fuel system to keep up. The big question is would this kit be just enough to lower the temps so I could actually 'drive' my car during the Summer? That alone would be money well spent even if I had zero performance gains!

Why in the world would anybody even consider a stupid piggyback system like this when you have real flex fuel options available using the stock computers? I mean flex fuel has been available with HP Tuners and EFILive for the stock PCMs on these cars going on like 10+ years now.

Why in the world would anybody even consider a stupid piggyback system like this when you have real flex fuel options available using the stock computers? I mean flex fuel has been available with HP Tuners and EFILive for the stock PCMs on these cars going on like 10+ years now.
