Bucket won't fit. I am running the factory bucket with dual 340 pumps in it for my car. The unit (which barely fits in the whole in the tank wont go low enough for the lock ring to go back on. When they just sit next to each other the new one is taller by a little bit. The seal around the top of it will not go all the way up to the top of the unit, as it has a little white piece on the top ring that stops the seal. I added a 255 pump to my old bucket and installed, and I don't remember any issue of it going in. i know t his is not a lot to go on, but I just kinda of got tired of messing it last night. I am going to add more pictures of it later today, but I was just wondering it I am missing something easy here. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...32edb97ae4.png |
The unit won’t fit flush in the tank. It’ll fit one side but not the other when the ring goes on. It seems the tab won’t fit the groove like the gasket is in the way. UM… HELP LOL https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...12e97130e.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...0b5ab6000.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...1cd3f00d1.jpeg |
They can be somewhat cumbersome to get back in the tank so don't get discouraged you just have to make sure the seal is aligned correctly and apply some downward pressure when installing the locking ring. Once you get it started you can take your hammer and a screw driver to seat back into place. Gl |
does the seal look right on the unit. is it suppose to fit like that? |
Is that a new seal? |
