What's Better??? I have a 99 LS1, it has been running lean ever since i have added a lid, cold air induction, and a MAF. I have been trying to figure out what is the best thing to do to increase the fuel to balance it back out. I was told to get a Granatelli/Predator Power Programmer and here recently I was told it was better to get a Jet Power Chip. Now I'm unsure as to what is the right thing to do. If anyone could please help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |
how do you know its running lean? have you done any data logging? how lean are you? personally if its a little lean and you would like an easy fix, i would pick up a used MAF translator from the for sale section, and hook it up. it'll allow you to richen up the mixture |
preciate it. |
yeah a maf translater or go get your car tuned and that should do the trick |
Or even more simply take the SLP descreened MAF off the car sell it put your stock MAF back on and I bet your problem goes away. Other than that MAFT and autotap or LS1 Edit Tuning will take care of the problem |
Thanks for the help guys |
the maf is your biggest problem put the original one back on and that would help out alot aftermarket mafs are jokes. yeah i would get your computer flashed. but personally i would go with fastchip ed has been doing it for along time. he will reflah with mods to and not charge you full price. he picked me up from a 13.05 @ 102 to a 12.79 @ 109 and that is bone stock. find another computer program thats going to that good luck |
