Fuel pump wiring I'm using an aeromotive A1000 w/ FAST and a painless harness for lights and windows. Since the battery is still up front, I ran 8 aught wire from the battery to the pump (as recommended by aeromotive) This is probably a silly question, but how do I run an 8 gauge wire into a std. 40A relay? Where's the best place to put the relay, etc?? The pump is controlled by a switch panel on the roll bar. Aeromotive says that pump draws 30A at times. Please help.

they may be assuming you are not using a relay and just using a 40a rated switch???
40 amps is an awful lot. i would ask the guy that reccomended this stuff to you....also ask what in the heck you should do about an alternator
