The nexus fuel pressure gauge is pretty cool since it warns you when pressure is dropping off..

yea, thinking about it, a fuel pressure delta change would be the way to go...

some simple logic that says: the fuel pressure is dropping.... BEFORE it drops to a really unsafe level.

im thinking a fuel pressure sensor, a A/D converter, a PIC and a warning LED might work.... hmmmm

How bout a hobbs switch set for a certain PSI. Connected supplying ground to an led or a light?

My buddy has an oil pressure "safety switch" on his big block buick. At xx psi it kills the motor. I am wondering if there is anything like this that can be modified to work for fuel pressure?

that would be the most basic safety system possible... but effective.. it wont tell you whats wrong, but you'll know to let out of it.

id go one step further with that and have it trigger a self energizing relay... so that a momentary drop below that amount, would make the light stay on constantly until you reset it.

although you'll then have to add some kind of arming or self-reset to it then.. otherwise it may come on during startup.

as long as you accounted for things like startup and such, theres no reason you couldnt do that... just have it open some relays for the two injector/coil wires.
