Default planning LS6 heads & Manifold will 26LB injectors be OK

I'm thinking that the 99WS6 26LB OE injectors are good for 450 -500HP right?

or will the 26LB injectors be getting close to maxing out with LS6 ported heads & LS6 manifold ?if so will the minium upgrade be the OE 28LB injector?

(considering investing in LSX manifold on my 346ci just looking ahead when I'll be getting the 408ci motor).

Thanks

Formula for fuel requirements EX: HP x .5=fuel requirement or 500hp x.5=250lbs.-hr of fuel required. Then divide the fuel volume required by the number of injectors(8)ex: 250/8=[U]31.25lbs.-hr "mininum injector size". These are basic formulas to get you in the ball park.

If i was building and even thinking about purchasing for a future 408c.i.
motor i'd buy 42#s and scale the injector tables for the present motor.

I agree with hawk. I'm running stock ls6 heads and intake with a 230/224 cam. Stock injectors were well over 26% duty and I was going lean in higher rpms. I added a racetronix pump and it got a little better. This year I'm going to get bigger injectors. I'd say you could get by with stock 26 lber's, but like hawk said, you'll need 'em later anyway, might as well do it now and tune it accordingly.
