Default Help please

Can anyone tell me the resistance in ohms, at empty and full, for the fuel gauge in my 2004 GTO instrument cluster ?

I`m having a custom made tank and need a sender for it, and it`s relative to the resistances of the gauge.

Thanks
Pete

If it's standard GM, it is 0 to 90 ohms.

Except it's 40-259 ohms. The reason I know this is my 98 f-body ohmed out to 40-259 and someone on the GTO boards ( my daily driver) said theirs ohmed out the same.

Here's a quick way to check it. Go to raio shack and buy a 40ohm, 100ohm, 150ohm,200ohm and 250ohm resistor...All together about $2.00. Go to your tank connection and pull the sending unit connector. Withe the key on insert the prongs from each resistor into the connector and see what your gage reads. easy to do. If 40ohm = empty and 250ohm = full you know how to set the sender.
