Anyone have experience with this pump? It's German made, known for good reputation.

i know speed inc usees the 420 l one and has had awsome success with them...few guys are running two of the 420 ones not sure about that one but good company

That's the same pump as the 420L. It's stronger than a Walbro...especially at pressures above 60psi.

I think it's the pump used in factory high HP turbo Porsches, the best fuel injection pump on the market. I've used it on my Corvette road course car for years without a problem and have installed many of them on customer's cars and have never had a failure unless caused by dirty fuel tanks. I also think it is the pump marketed by Accel/DFI. It is very quiet for its pressure and volume capabilities and has an internal check valve, mandatory in any pump I use or reccommend to others. It can also be used internally.

What's the part# for Bosch 420 L/HR inline fuel pump.

anybody know if that can be mounted inside the tank without issue?

I'm running two in the tank since January. Works great....just need the trick spin on inlet filter from ATL.

hey dynocar did you use the Bosch 044 pump or the 420l? i plan on use for the same, alot street and autocross , can they handle 500/600 forced induction and maybe 10/15k miles per year? i found for good price so right know its my 1st choice

044 Is a great pump. I run two on the M3, no problems in the years of running them. They are not compatiable with E85 (Lahrs at Bosch GmbH bench tested a set and found xx hours until failure).

what is the reason that you have two? flow?

I am using the 420 intank on the Corvette.

Bosch 040 pump is the internal version.

044 is one of the best around.

The 420L and 044 are the same pump.

Confusion arises when people say 420L...as they assume its 420 litres.

Is 420lb's per hour apparently.

Excellent pump, and can be used internal or external.
They now have an internal gauze built in, so no pre-filter is required.....although perhaps good to have.

lol whell i was one of many that looked at 420"l" as liters per hour? i guess ... lol i had in mind a1000 from aeromotive. i heard alot good things about but nothing really about people driving 10/15k miles on then every year, can a 044 or even a 420 handle 500/600 forced induction? i found few places the 044 for less than $200. way better than $300+ for a1000,have anybody running then for more than a year or heavy miles on then?

I run 2 o44's on my car as well. Work great with no problems!

An 044 easily out performs a Walbro in every respect. Especially at higher pressures, where flow doesnt really start to fall off until over 100psi, whereas the Walbro starts to drop a lot over 70psi.

As mentioned. The 044 is an OE fitment Porsche pump. Reliability is not an issue.

Some people rate a single 044 to circa 700hp.

i run a bosch 044. bob at epp put one in the tank for me. i have 645 rwhp on his dyno and have had no problems.

Doesn't the Racetronix kit use a Walbro 255? Which is better. I have a Racetronix pump waiting to go in my '98 T/A and would like to know before I do it so I can sell it and get the Bosch 040 or 044 unit. What pre-filter should be used with either of these in tank? Do they come with one?

Nothing wrong with the walbro at all. It's better than the Bosch for packaging. Bosch is better at +70psi, but it's much harder to package. Use the Racetronix kit.
