Fuel Pump is talking to me ?
Fuel Pump is talking to me ? My fuel pump is making some noise. 
It gets louder as I go or as the car warms up. Is it going out? How long do I have? Any good shops in Grand Prairie, Texas that can look at it w/out taking all my money?

i just moved up here(dallas)on the edge of plano from san antonio.i'm going to work out at james woods.i've been working in gm dealerships for 15 years.gm fuel pumps are always noisy.sometimes they are straining but my brothers has been whinning for a couple years.we dont replace them just for noise.how long it will last is anyones guess.i would not pay to have it looked at because they will take your cash but there is no way to tell how long a whinning fuel pump is going to last.i would just go with if it aint broke don't fix it.unless you just cant stand the whine.wait until it goes because it is usually a 3-4 hour job at the dealer which depending on their labor rate can be 250-400 just for labor on an f-body.just my opinion.
