Default what glue to use for fuel pump bucket

I finally got tired of my camaro broken down sitting in my driveway so I finally started to finish replacing my fuel pump, but the kit never came with any glue. I know that gasoline will eat away most glue, so what would be safe to use to get my bucket back together. Also, how important is it to keep the bucket? Say i toss the bucket and let the pump hang, as long as i never go below a 1/4 tank will i be fine? Thanks in advance.

in the racetronix lt1 fuel pump install http://www.geocities.com/formulapower2/fuelpump.html , he talks about glueing the bucket back together, but i'm not sure what kind of glue to use since i'm not using a racetronix kit and mine never came with glue

Glue is only required for LT1 applications. LS1 does not require glue.

jb weld is fine, used it and lasted longer than the pump.
