Default Will 99 tank/sender line up with 98 lines

Just curious if I can swap a 99 tank and sender unit into my 98. I think the lines come out at differant angles but I didn't know if there is enough play in the lines. I'd like to find out before I buy the tank.

The 98 runs a different sending unit. If memory serves, 98 was the last year of a return line in the fuel delivery system. I would imagine the tank would work, but I'd suggest you check 99 PN vs. 98 PN to be sure before you tackle your project.

I've never actually seen a 98, but I've seen the picks a guy has on his site of him doing a fuel pump install through the trunk. The one thing I noticed was that the fuel pump assembly was about 6" forward in the tank than mine (00 SS). I started to cut the sheemetal according to his pics, but I ended up cutting at the rear-most horizontal edge of the sheetmetal to the middle, where he cut from the middle to the front-most horizontal edge of the sheetmetal.

You'll end up with 6" less line than you need to complete the swap.
