Default Which fittings am I looking for? Factory fuel and evap line to -6an??

I'm changing fuel rails and am using the factory feed line as a feed and the evap line as a return. I need the fittings that mount to the factory lines and go to a -6an threaded end. Anyone have part numbers?????

Aeromotive has them. Here is a link to one for a 5/16 line, so you can look at it.

I think he meant the fittings that mount to the factory hard lines?

Something like these ...

^^That will match the 3/8 feed line.

Here is the one for the 5/16 EVAP line

Thank you very much Chevy Chad. One question thought, the Summit feed line fitting says 10mm to 3/8th. I'm assuming the feed line is 3/8th. Don't I need a -6an to 3/8th? Because the EVAP line is -6an to 5/16th.

The main thing I need was the 3/8th and 5/16th sizes.

I'm getting ready to install my new Speed Inc rails and I'm trying to determine if I need to keep the evap line from the LS1 manifold and hook up the evap pump back to the evap line as well?

Is there any way to get rid of the evap pump? Manifolds like FAST or PP don't seem to have these hooked up.

BeaSST: Few things here...

The EVAP doesn't have a pump. The EVAP line runs into the manifold so that it pulls vacuum. My car is a forced induction car so I disconnected mine so as not to force air into the EVAP line. Seeing as how I disconnected mine and it didn't hurt anything, I would have to say that pulling vacuum from the EVAP line is like your tonsils. They're there but they don't really serve a vital importance. If you wanted to, you could just vent your EVAP to air or relocate it to the hard line to get rid of some of the clutter.

The reason I am using my EVAP line as a RETURN is because I am running a boost-referenced fuel pressure regulator to increase my fuel pressure at a 1:1 ratio under boost. If I was only going to stay at 600rwhp or so, I would just leave the fuel system stock using the in-tank FPR and factory chintzy, but functional, return.

I'm assuming you are simply doing the rails because you like the look or got a hell of a deal because the factory rails can support 700rwhp. Anyway, you can hook it back up or relocate it. Just do a search for EVAP relocation and you'll find a write-up.

It is the correct one. I was confused by the way they have it labeled as well, but 3/8 is a -6. The factory fuel line is 9.525mm- which I think they rounded up to 10mm. At any rate, that is a -6AN fitting from what I heard from people who have used it. I got the Aeromotive 3/8" fitting when I ordered because that Russell one was on back order at the time. If you get the Aeromotive 3/8" line, it comes with a -8AN, so I had to put a -8 to -6 reducer in the fitting, but it was no big deal. Plus I like the fact that the Aeromotive fittings are black (which all my other fittings are as well).

Chad,
Do you know where I can find a fitting that has the male end of a quick disconnect on one end and a barbed end on the other? The barbed end needs to be for the return size which is 5/16" I believe

I don’t think they make those. At least I’ve never seen one before…

You will probably have to get 2 different fittings and attach them to each other to do that. It may even take 3…

I keep these in stock. Russell makes both 3/8" and 5/16" to -6 Summit has it listed wrong or they have a part I have never heard of. You need to keep your EVAP vented or your fuel tank will hold pressure.

So they have the -6 male end of the quick disconnect on one end and a 3/8" or 5/16" barbed end on the other?

No they have 3/8" or 5/16" quick disconnect on one end and -6 male on the other. One for the feed line one for the EVAP.

Thanks Nate

Do you know what I could use as a male end for the 5/16" quick disconnect then?

Where? You need a female on the rails and a female on the line? I have some misc. fittings to make it work if you need one.

What I have done is this. I swapped my f-body rails for a set of 97-98 vette rails along with an adjustable/boost ref regulator. I have kept the stock hard line for a feed and ran a new return line from the T back by the rear axle. I removed the stock return line from the T and plugged the T. I want to use the stock vette braided lines in the engine compartment for a clean look. The feed one will work fine from the stock hard line to the rail, but now I need to some how mate the vette return braided line to the new black rubber line that I ran under the car. So basically I need to connect the quick disconnect vette braided line to a rubber fuel hose. Is this possible?

why not just put an AN end fitting on the return line you ran and then use the male quick connect to go into the vette braided line?

something like this on the end of your return hose, and one of these to plug into the vette braided line...

I'm assuming the return off of the vette rails is 5/16...
