Default NEW Racetronix Impedance Converter Harness

The Racetronix ICH harness makes installing an impedance converter box with low-impedance injectors a simple, quick and reliable plug and play job. Simply plug the ICH harness into the factory injector connectors and into your new low impedance injectors. Each injector connector is embossed with the cylinder number for easy identification. Plug in the impedance converter box, hook the harness to your battery and you are done. You no longer need to cut and splice your factory harness when running high-flow low impedance injectors. The RX-ICH supplies power directly from the battery through a high-quality Tyco 40 amp relay and heavy 10 gauge wire to the injector harness and converter box. This design provides maximum consistent voltage to the injectors. Maximum stable voltage translates to faster and more consistent injector operation. As with all Racetronix harnesses no attention to detail and quality of workmanship has been overlooked. All wiring is automotive-grade for maximum oil, gas and heat resistance. The main harness is covered with 300F rated Nylon loom. The injector harness has a woven black fiberglass loom covering all injector wires which provides the ultimate in protection while at the same time a great appearance. All harnesses are assembled using our computerized crimp-quality monitoring system and then circuit checked for the utmost in reliability. As with most Racetronix harnesses the RX-ICH is backed by our limited lifetime warranty.

Although this harness was measured for use in a LS1 car there are other applications which may fit. Please use the following lengths to determine if the RX-ICH will work for you.

battery connections to fuse holder / relay 12"
relay to driver box 28"
driver box to injector harness connections 40"
injector harness
cylinder A/B 22.0"
cylinder C/D 18.0"
cylinder E/F 13.5"
cylinder G/H 10.0"

This harness uses Minitimer injector connectors. These connectors are used on most high-performance injectors, aftermarket PCM harnesses and in many production vehicles dating from the mid 1980's up until just after Y2K.. The Minitimer connector is sometimes referred to as an EV1 connector.

At this time we are offering the RX-ICH harness for the AEM converter only. Harnesses for the FJO and Acceltronics converter boxes will be available very soon. Harnesses with longer lengths for remote location as well as 4 to 10 cylinder motors may be special ordered. Feel free to e-mail us with your custom application. Please note that on some vehicles it may be required to disable the factory PCM's injector circuit diagnostics. This is because the load exhibited on the PCM by the impedance converter box's inputs will not be the same as the factory injectors. Failure to make this change will not cause damage to the PCM but may set trouble codes.

Features:
  • Fully plug and play with factory wiring
  • Weatherproof factory-type sealed connectors
  • Injector connectors embossed with the cylinder number for easy identification
  • Direct battery power to injectors and converter box for maximum injector performance
  • Dedicated independent fused circuit removes all injector load from factory wiring.
  • Factory ignition startup and shutdown
  • Heavy-gauge power wires for maximum power to injectors
  • Spare ATC fuse, wire ties, mounting hardware
  • Lifetime limited warranty

That is really nice, looks like I need to order one up, how much they going for ??

Edit: Just found it on your site, looks like the harness/converter box package is a pretty good deal, need to call you up. Now you need to add some low impedance inj into a complete all in one package .

It will work on most V8 applications.
E-mail sales@racetronix.com so we can confirm the harness lengths you require.
We have extensions available for the injector and power end of the harness.

Resistors drop the voltage to the injectors which make them slower to open and close which defeats the advantage of having low impedance injectors which are generally very fast.

Using resistors will allow battery voltage to have an amplified effect on injector performance as well as making it harder for them to open at higher fuel pressures.

Low impedance drivers such as the AEM box regulate the injector firing current and hold current for faster and more consistent opening and closing times.

The harness is sold either with or without the AEM box in our web store.
You can purchase an optional harness which extends the AEM connectors. Please e-mail sales with your requirements. Remember the idea here is to keep the wires as short as possible. Making the harness too long undermines the benefit of using low impedance injectors.

Thanks.

Some people already own a particular brand of converter so we have had requests for all three brands. We carry the AEM unit.
