Is an aluminum sleeve needed. If so, where can I get one?

I have both Racetronix and FullThrottle versions - FT includes a foam sleeve to bring the OD of the Walbro pump back up to stock pump body size instead of the anodized aluminum sleeve that Racetronix uses.

I personally did not think that foam sleeve would stand up submerged in gas for very long - and then the pump would be rattling around in the fuel bucket. I have no proof that this would ever happen - just my opinion of foam vs. aluminum sleeve.

I had a custom aluminum sleeve made for my FT pump similar to the Racetronix version. But as a Design engineer I can design in 3D and have access to many machine shops to mfg. custom parts I need.

Other than the sleeve issue, the FT pump setup and the HD wiring upgrade installed the same as Racetronix setup, and so far, has performed equally.

No problems with mine so far. Only issue I had was that the hose that comes with the pump was way too small to fit on the pump. It would just split when trying to fit on there

I am concerned about the foam sleeve. Where can I get an aluminium sleeve?

Why not just buy the original complete system that has none of these issues?
