I've been toying around with the idea of installing a smaller Bosch or Weldon fuel pump next to my Magnafuel 750 so I could basically drive around on the bosch and use the magnafuel for race only. I could use some one way valves and T's, and just wire another relay using the same feed wire (since only one will run at a time). Kind of like a DP system but instead of bringing on the second pump with a hobb switch I would just use manual switches and use one pump or the other.

Crazy idea?

Well, I have two pumps but never thought of doing what you are suggesting. It sounds interesting so let us know what happens. Are you talking two in line, two in tank, or one in tank and one inline? Just trying to create a visual of what your going for!

I am using a walbro intank, and a magnafuel 4303. I installed a 3 position switch in the car, "auto-off-On"

Auto is activated by an adjustable pressure switch,
Off is just that
On: overides the pressure switch should my walbro quit.

Works like a champ and keeps my fuel line temps down by not running high volumes through the system while cruising
