Default New to Fuel Systems: Need Your Help With My Project!

I've been on these forums for a couple of years and never came into the Fuel & Injection section. I need your help and your advice on what to go with.

I am putting together a Heads/Cam project on a regular 346. I plan on hitting it with a moderate sized shot of Nitrous, (maybe 100 shot), in the future. With Heads and cam, I am hoping for 430/400. With the shot of Nitrous, I'm hoping for 530/500. I have no idea what -8N fittings and inline or intake means. I am completley new to this. What would you go with? This is for a daily driver mostly.

I was thinking of Lucas/Delphi 42 Injectors to start out with.

Thanx!

Lucas $42 injectors and a Walbro in-tank pump will handle that no problem . We have everything in stock if you are looking to pick these up right now and I would be happy to give you any info you need for install etc. Injectors are $289 and the pumps are $98 right now .

What is the difference between in-tank and in-line? Do they serve the same purpose? Or is the in-line sold solely because it's easier than dropping the tank and moddifying the in-take pump?

Inline and intake describe themselfs.

InLINE is in the fueling line itself, it usualy requires a sump on the tank.

InTANK is in the tank itself.

So, 42 injectors and the Walbro 255 in-tank pump is the way to go??

I was thinking about adding new fuel rails. Is that necessary? And what is the difference between returnless and non-returnless? Parallel and non-parallel? This is a 2002 WS6 if that information is necessary. Thanx again!

ChevyChad is a good guy to ask about this stuff. I'm goin with almost the exact same set-up he has as far as the lines & adj. FPR.

Our cars see a little dip in fuel pressure at WOT & if your using a fuel pressure safety switch on your nitrous kit it can shut the kit off when you want it on. Hence the addition of a FPR.

Now this type of set-up is a little more envolved & can cost more, so if you don't plan on ever goin bigger you should be fine with just the intank set-up & injectors.

In the set-up I'll be running I use the EVAP line as a return I believe. I'd have to ask Chad again to make sure. But I do know I'll have a new pump put in the tank, a in-line pump also(just for extra precaution), aftermarket fuel rails, FPR & 36# injectors.
