Last I saw(tonight on the way home.) was 93 octane was 3.65, and E85 was 2.49. I've been thinking about converting over to E85, actually.

Yeah, thats a joke. Being in the corn belt and the fact that there are quite a few ethanol plants popping up around the area, you'd think it would be a little less.

Its all a money game boys. When they see E 85 sales go way up, then the price follows suit. Just look at diesel, just a year or so ago it was cheaper than unleaded, now its almost a dollar more. Oh and FWIW its 2.59 a gallon in oklahoma, and so far i have only seen one station that has it, and its only on 4 pumps.

I just tried that and I got three results within 100 miles. 2 of which are private facilities and the other is 75 miles away and says, "Possible map inaccuracies."

It's pretty much the same as making drinking alcohol. We haven't gotten into doing it yet. We've only been collecting parts. What I can tell you is that basically you need a still to make it. We'll be building two. I don't know about other states, but in Florida you have to apply for a small distillery license. It limits you to what I think if I remember correctly 1000 gallons per year. My brother knows a lot more about this than I do as he's the license holder and bought all the parts. He can run it in his truck. I'll be using it in my 93 Turbo car and in the nitrous stand alone for my Formula. The rest we're going to try and sell around town as a cheap alternative to race fuel.

Yup. Two stations in town that sell it, both owned by the same company so they charge whatever they want. Even their normal gasoline is higher than other stations.

Dont forget that even though E-85 is "cheaper" you must use something like 30% more of it for the same power level.
