Default Injectors for 350p on 5.3ltr

From link above I calced I need about 30lb injector for my 5.3 conversion to make between 350-375hp.

Stock it appears I have 24lb in there now or will these be enough.

Will also be adding a regulator with a new in tank pump.

Will be getting the ECM tuned for the setup.

Does this sound about right or are there other suggections?

THX

stock 24lb/hr but what psi are they rated at?

what psi did you use to come up with your 30lb/hr injectors?

Just find some injectors out of a 8.1 truck engine. They are about 31lbs/hr. You can usually find them on performancetrucks.net classifieds, a sister site of here or on ebay, for around a $100. Other then having the tune changed for them, they are a direct swap for the stock truck injectors.

Sounds like an easy fix, thx!

Are the LS1 injectors (LM7) called EV1 or something lke that? Looks like they have a narrow body compared to the LT1s.

LS1 (5.7) use the EV1 wire plugs, where the LM7 (5.3) truck injectors are Mulititec II's. The bodies may be different from the LS1 and LT1, but they are the same length and use the same plug, but truck injectors are different. They are shorter and use an different plug. The only way you can run car injectors on a truck intake is to change the injector plugs to the EV1's and space up the fuel rails 5/8 of an inch.

Thanks, it seems the 8.1 ltr injectors are all over for cheap. Great upgrade!

They would be the same as the 8.1 in the topkick truck, part # 12574927. AC_Delco # 217-1563

Do these look right?

Yep, I'd say so. FYI If you come across 8.1 marine injectors used in the boats, they are 42lbs/hr and pretty plentifully. They sell for around $250 used
