Default rear/susp. experts...need to choose a 12 bolt..

Right now I have a factory rear (see sig) withy Random Technology adjustable torque arm. I want to go with a 12 bolt as it is not a high h.p. car. Which 12 bolt should i go with so I can keep my torque arm and the good traction that I currently have. Heard Moser has an issue with 12 bolts..Thanks

If your changing your rear end because of fear of breaking it mise well go ahead get the 9". I know alot of people say m6=9" and a4=12bolt. But a 9" offers more gear ratio's, stronger, easier to set up, and its not that more expensive. Moser 12 bolt uses 4 bolts, that sometimes come loose, others use two bolts that go thru the housing which is not known for coming loose. But a 1/4" longer bolt with a lock washer and locktite and a moser is good to go if your set on getting a 12 bolt.

I would only recommend the Strange if you are doing a 12-bolt...Moser's torque arm mounting solution (4 short bolts into blind holes) is just poor engineering. There are lots of threads on here where people have had minor to major damage from those bolts backing out. That's really the only beef I've ever had with the Moser 12-bolt (and oddly enough, their 9" housing uses two long through bolts to hold the torque arm to the rear).
