Default Rear End Swap Questions....

I just ordered a Midwest Fabricated 9" Rear. The question I have is can I go to the junk yard and find some Brake Backing Plates and Caliper Mounts so I will have them ready when the new rear comes in? That being said if so will the parts from a V6 car work and what year models could I use? I am not sure but I think I read that the LT1 brakes are different. If that is the case then maybe I could use any 1998 - 2002 car???? Is that right? Any help would be great Thanks......

Spend the money and get brand new ones, I'm glad I did with my Fab 9". Backing plates that is because of the e-brake linings and the grease sell on the back won't be worn out......also, why not use your stock caliper brackets??
