Default M6 guys, what gear ratio are you running in your 9"?

I recently have swapped my 10 bolt with 4.10s out for a Moser 9" with 3.55s. I'm really missing that immediate pull I had with the taller gears. I also plan on spraying a little so I don't want to go too high. I was thinking of getting a set of 3.90s for it. What does everyone recommend? Also, if a sponsor that sells 9" gears could chime in that would be great too!

I am going 3.70 with a 26 in tall tire. but that is due to my mph at the track(136) and not wanting to shift out of 4th. What all is done to the car? And what power level are you at? That is also a playing factor in picking a gear ratio

Car puts down 400rwhp and I plan on spraying a 100. Whatever the clutch and tires will handle. With those tall gears are you breaking the beams at the top of 4th?

What rpm are you spinnin the motor too. a friend of mine in his vette had 4.10s 26 in tall tires and spun the thing to 7k and manage to get 128mph out of it with a head and cam car. But he was on the limiter going through the traps. I am stuck with the 3.70s so I could run the smaller tire and have the option to go with the bigger tire later. instead of running 3.90s and running the bigger tire right away to get the mph I want.

I am running 3.90 in my Fab 9" and plan on a 175-200 shot Nitrous along with 28" tire for the track.

Damn, OK. I guess everyone is running a pretty steep set 'o gears. Where did y'all buy yours from. Are there any write ups out there on how to swap them out in my 9"?

I am running 3.70s, but as much highway driving as I do I should have stuck with 3.55s.

That's what 6th gear is for. Even when I had 4.10s I rearely put it in 6th even on the freeway.

with my 4.56's i am only doing about 2200rpm@70mph in 6th. now if you drive way over the speed limit then i could see needing the 3.55's for the highway

With 25.7 tall street tires, and 4.30s at 75-80mph NYS thuway its 2,200 rpms.

Its fine, better really then friends that have big, Trex, g5x5... 23x/24x cams thats lug the car in 6th gear with "street" 3.73 thats only 1,500rpm unless your going 80+. So they only use 5th anyway, or like having zero power to get up a hill or gain 5mph

OK I guess I'm going to go the 3.90s and a 26" tall tire with N20. I will probably stick with a 28" tire for the street. Thanks for all the input fellas. Where did everyone buy their gears from? Who was the cheapest? and did you install them yourself?
