3.73's..that is the question i want to put gears in my car and was wondering what some people thought. i really want 4.10's but i cant afford a new rear if it blows, so i was looking at 3.73s. do you even think it is worth changing from 3.42s to 3.73s.. will i see or feel a difference or should i just keep what i got.. |
Re: 3.73's..that is the question Don't expect much at all. 4.10's will definetly be more radical. You'll get a little more snap, but not a whole lot. |
Re: 3.73's..that is the question If anything i would go 4.10s but it is a little risky. You want feel much difference going from 3.42s to 3.73s. Personally if i had an m6 i would save the money for a caminstall or something. Plus with your 100 shot your 3.42s will be alot more rewarding. |
Re: 3.73's..that is the question With Nos I would save up for a 12 bolt. |
Re: 3.73's..that is the question 3.73 is IMHO a waste of time.Go 4.10 |
Re: 3.73's..that is the question IMO 3.73 are better for A4 and 4.10 for M6. you have a 6th gear for highway driving anyway. |
Re: 3.73's..that is the question 4.10s are definitely the way to go... that's what I have in my stock 10 bolt (with T/A Girdle) and have no complaints yet. I do suggest, however, to switch to a thicker rear end fluid if you go with 4.10s... I went with 80w140 from Redline, and mine are as quiet as the stock 3.42s now. |
Re: 3.73's..that is the question "3.73's..that is the question" no no. 4.10's is the question YES is the answer. come on, you have six gears! i would get 4.55's if i had FIVE gears pumpkin mush? hey.. the 10 bolts are a wear and tear item. |
