The general rule of thumb is 3.73 for A4, 4.10 for M6. N/A, of course.

I recently got 390's in my 10 bolt with my A4 but I have a stock stall still so I can't really tell you how they would do with a stall. They are still manageable on the street and are a good split IMO between the 373 and 410's. It sits around 3000 rpms at 80.

Going from 3.23 to 3.73 is not a waste at all. I had 3.23 and went to the 3.73 and it was night and day difference. If you mainly drag race the car and do very little Daily Driving I would prob do the 4.10. If it mainly a DD go with the 3.73's

4.10 is too much on the shot. Either go with a 28" tire, or or stay with 3.73's.

I run a 3.91 and a 26" tire, I also shift at 6500, I'd probably just get away with a 100 shot.

With the 26" tire you're only gonna stretch to about 122mph at 6500rpms. You're probably trapping about 118 now right?

*Edit, although with a cam like that I'd be shifting like closer to 6800-6900.

Hmm I'd probably keep away from the 4.10's if your gonna spray. It's a close call. If you street drive the car much it's another reason not too. I even think my 3.90's suck on the hwy.

3.73s, especially if you're going to be hitting the nitrous.

And 3.23s to 3.73s is absolutely NOT a waste of money.

Not trying to highjack the thread, but since everyone is recommending the 3.73s...which are the best to purchase (longevity and least amount of whine?)

I have run Motives and Richmond.... The motives were much quieter...both held up nicely.... Dont forget having them properly set up is just as important as picking the right gear....

AAM is the OEM supplier for GM, I've got AAM 4.10's in my 10 bolt and they are nice and quiet.

How many miles do you have on the 4.10 gears?
