Default 5.67's for my M6?????

I was wondering if anyone was using gears anywhere close to this. I checked the calculations, and RPMs arent too bad at higher speeds. I dont drive the car too much, but I would like to. 5.67's streetable?

12" wide wrinkle walls should be ok.

i would go with something a little taller, you would have to shift way too often going down the track. you dont want to get into o/d gears down the stretch.

Yeah i've got a similar ratio in the dump truck I drive at work.

Why on earth would you want 5.67's? 1st gear's virtually useless on my car with 4.10's. I'm a fan of low gears, but you can overdo it

I have 4.30's, but I wouldn't recommend going lower than that. Thats just plain crazy. I would say no, those gears are not streetable

My car isn't that powerful and I wish I had 4,30s instead of 4,56. 4,56 surely makes the car faster on the 300M but it isn't enough of the all around goodness.

i'm gonna go with NO on this on this one. pretty sure the stock carrier will only allow 4.56's. and when you do hook, the small amount of ring gear material from that high of gear will hate you.

First of all, I would never even think about it with a 10 bolt if you could even get them. I'm getting a 9 inch. Second, it was just a question. My buddy recommended it and I thought it was crazy. I have 4.10s right now. I dont think it is enough. It bogs pretty bad on the highway because of the big cam. So I want a little more revs. I was thinking 4.56 would be plenty.

If your car "bogs" on the highway, there is something wrong with your setup while 4.56 would be a better suited gear choice for 1/4 mile, on the highway it should not effect you...

perhaps it's not tuned right...

4:56's would be good. 5:67's are crazy low.

5.67 is something like Joe Honeycutt(six speeds inc) is running in his camaro, but he shifts at like 9k.

What size cam are you running? It shouldn't bog with 4.11's.
