Default will my rear be okay.....

okay, i have finally gota pretty set game plan for the car, and now i may have a second job to fund this thing. now im looking for mid to low 11s, by means of cam, rockers, headers, intake, air foil, 3200 converter, shift kit, 3.73s, drag radials, and a tune. oh and a 100 shot or so. i know the rear wont last long, but what can i expect to break, is it the gears, the axles, etc... i want to try to beef up my stock rear for now, what are your opinions.

Stock rear ends on the track are a ticking time bomb if you ask me. If my car was ever going to go to the track the rear end is the FIRST thing to replace.

It's a good investment

I've seen several axles break first. Mine included.

my diff. broke first, sold my 3.73's that came out of that rear and they broke soon after in my buddy's car. justr depends on what is weaker or worn out more in your car.

But i ran low 10's on my 10 bolt before it broke

Save your cash for a 9" and don't worry about beefing up the 10 bolt, it's fucked anyways.

If you were keeping street tires there might be hope for your 10 bolt not dieing soon, but since you plan on running with drag radials I'm with everyone else, start saving up for a 12 bolt or 9" so you wont have to worry about having your car limping home or even getting towed from a hard day at the track
