I was running a PST aluminum 3.5 replacement for my stock driveshaft when I put my moser 9 in. The driveshaft stuck out of the tranny more (abt 1 inch) after the install as compared to the stock set up. The stock length still worked and the u joint fit. I would prefer a little more yolk in the tranny, but I am still within recommendations.

I curently have the Strange 3" chromeloy shaft. Are there any noticable gains switching to the aluminum? Anyhing that would really show up at the strip or on the dyno?

Bob
will that driveshaft work in my 1998 Trans Am, or do i need to get an inch longer to make it work? does it cost much extra for the longer one? do you offer military discounts?

the stock driveshaft will work with a 447 conversion u-joint, but it will be a bit short. the 9 inch is a little shorter than the GM 10 bolt, nad the pinion is lower from centerline, thus pulling the shaft out of the trans. the Strange 3 inch chromemoly shaft is the best bang for the buck by far. will come balanced and assembled, ready to install. I have all the correct dimensions for the trans/rearend combos. pm me for a quote.
