Got a MWC FAB 9, narrow 3" per side with gun-drilled axles. I put 3.5 qt. in and still didn't feel lube with my finger at fill plug then put in the rest of lube and still don't feel lube. I have 4 qt. in there now. Is this o.k. or should I drain a 1/2 qt. I always heard to put in 3.5 qt.:confusd:

yes i had 3.5 and it still came out the vent

It's not coming out of the vent. Anyone else? I'm doing the 5x15 min. break-in on the gears and rearend now and will be changing out the fluid this week. I'll see how much fluid drains out.

Your suppose to use a little over 3 quarts.

the rearend will hold a little over 3 quarts. with the car level, fill the gear oil until it is at the bottom of the threads on the level plug on the drivers side of the 9 inch center section case.
