Unhappy My luck, I got a screamer.

My rear makes the car sound like a spaceship.

Anybody got a recommendation for a 9" service book. Is the Mark Williams video any good?

I found this link helpful....but I would like something a bit more in depth.

Sounds like the pinion is shimmed to deep. Have you looked at the wear pattern on the gear?

Maybe so. I didn't notice any gear marking compound on it. Like an *** I decided to put it in the car and hope for the best.

Is it all the time or does it quieten up under hard acceleration. If you take it apart again put some marking compound on it and see where the pattern is. If its towards the toe of the gear then the pinion is to deep. If its toward the heel then its to shallow. It should be in the center slightly towards the toe side of the gear.
