Default Trying to bring back a GM 12 bolt

Ok fellas, time to pick your brain.

I bought a GM twelve bolt (truck style) and a Dana 60 yesterday for $400 bucks. Both appear to be in good shape. I am probably going to try and use the twelve bolt due to the Lock-Rite locker it came with. So my question's are: is there a company out there that sells mounting/bracketry for the diy guy. I can make them but i just don't want to. I guess to much thinking involved.

It has 30 spline axles with 6 lugs. This is going to be my other hurdle. Finding good replacement axles with the 5 lug pattern. I found a set in jegs but the axle is an 1/8th of an inch shorter then what came out. Also trying to keep the abs and tcs.

I will post Pics in the future.

Moser should be able to make whatever size axles you need. As far as the brackets, you could cut the ones off a 10 bolt, and reuse them on the 12.

I don't think anyone makes them, maybe you can buy a junk one out of a yard or something?

I have an old 8.5 10-bolt that will hold up just fine I want to put in but the brackets are rediculous. Maybe i should try to put leafs on the car? lol I have Cat-5 rear springs from Global west already.

you should be able to buy most of the brackets except i don't know how your gonna mount the torque arm. The moser 12bolt has the torque arm bracket molded into the housing.

Moser and strange should both be able to make you axles to whatever length you need.

Thanks for the info I guess i will have to tear up the junk yards this weekend. I am told that an axle out of an 82 on up will work. Is this correct? I am fairly good at fabrication so the torque arm shouldn't be an issue. Time consuming yes
