Default 4.11s in stock 10 bolt

Im wanting to changed the rear end gears in my Firehawk. It has the stock 10 bolt, I want to go with 4.11s. Will I need to change anything other than the ring and pinion? Wont need a new locker or anything right?

There are tons of write ups about this. Unless you can do all this yourself, it is best to save the money and put it towards a new rear end. I was gonna do the same thing till I found out that it was gonna cost around $500 for the install, that wasn't including the gears or install kit. Just my .02 on the issue.

Why should I rethink that? Its not a track car..Its a toy, take it to small car shows and play around on the streets..The car doesnt make 1200 RWHP and never will..if the stock rear goes oh well Ill get a new one one the time comes

Im going to do it myself with help from some a buddy..Iv got a Moser 9in if this one goes out but I dont want to put it in...power robber!!

i agree with the full rebuild kit, it at least helps it have a fighting chance.
