HELP HELP..rear gear install

We just replaced 3.23 to 3.73 on a 10 bolt WS6.At low RPMs and normal pedal pressure there is a whine.And the rear feels a little loose.We used the stock shims.Please dont rag on that to much,fist time with gears.LOL.Can anybody please tell us whats going on and how to fix it.
