Default whats bad? carrier, ring & pinion or bearings?

carrier, ring & pinion or bearings?
ok my rear end is going I think. and I want to get it fixed until I can get my S60 like the big boys so here is my Question

ok so I have a Torsen (mechanical) lsd witch i know are the weaker of the two options. and I have 3.42 gears.
I am getting slap when I get back on the gas after coasting and when I had the car up in the air I could feel some slack in the drive train when turning the wheel forward and back.

So my question is how can I tell what is it that is bad. the carrier, ring and pinion gears or some bearings.

That slack is pretty much normal. Does it make any noise?

Is my rear ok? I just did the pinion seal, I marked the nut and put it back to exalt where it was. I added 70W 90 synthetic, and drove it for almost 300 miles, I heard it winning in 6th gear, and while coasting. I found out this is the wrong fluid so I then drained and refilled with 80W 90 and Gm limited slip addictive. It still hums/wines when in 6th gear going 55 60 miles an hour, or while coasting in 3rd 4th 5th 6th, If i accelerate it goes away. It is a vrery quite hum, and if the radio is on I don't even hear it. Is this normal am I just periniod?

You shouldn't need to additive in the Torsen. That's only for clutch type rears, probably won't hurt thou. You probably have a pinion bearing going bad.
