Default Help identifying witch gear this is?

i bought my trans am and the person changed out the diff gearing and i dont know what it is to match with my speedometer i took out the diff cover today and counted the teeth in the gears it has 41 of them anyone know what the ratio is? and what kind they are?

A pic might help to identify the brand. As for the ratio turn the drive shaft and count how many turns it takes for the ring gear to make 1 revolution.
3 1/2 - 3.42
3 3/4 - 3.73
4 - 4.10

Tooth count of ring gear and pinion gear is stamped into the ring gear. Divide ring by pinion to find exact ratio.

Counting driveshaft revolutions also works very well.

Did you count the teeth on the pinion gear:
For the stock 10 bolt here are the gear tooth counts:
ring pinion ratio
41...12.....3.42
41...11.....3.73
41...10.....4.10
