Default There's something wrong with my girl's ***!

My differential seems to be messed up. It seems locked in. It makes a horrible clunking noise when it is locked. Especially on turns. I guess because of the extra stress on it.

When I jack it up and spin one wheel forward, the other one spins forward with it. This tells me it is locked in. It is my understanding that only one wheel should spin forward and the other should spin backwards when on jack stands. I tested this is on my brother’s trans am and confirmed it.

What do you guys think? Thanks!

If it's posi, both will spin the same way unless it's wore out or broke. Then usually just one will spin. If it's one wheel peel rear end, they will spin in opposite directions, usually.

And mini skirts work real well.
