Default 3.23 or 3.73 10bolt 6spd 500+hp?

Ok before I get the why do you have a 10 bolt!!!???

I've got a spare 10bolt with 3.42s that needs a rebuild but I have new motive 3.73s for this rear. Right now the car has 3.23s and I can't even shift into 6th before 70. I get fantastic gas milage but I seem to miss that lower end grunt.

Eng specs in sig with 500rwhp, 1st & 2nd spin, 3rd & 4th pull like a ****.

Yeah for spirited driving my 10bolt is fine.

I may just sell it all and buy the 9, but jeez 2k is seems like much. Maybe on my mod list for next year.

Thoughts...

I'm in the same boat as you! I have went back and forth but have decided to just keep the 10 bolt until or if it blows! I'm not to hard on my car so it might survive!! :>) If not I will put in a 12 or a 9 with 3.92 or 4.10 and call it DONE!

The Pros to sticking with the 3.23s The 3.23s are thicker than the 4.10s or 3.73s and hwy is a blast I was doing 70 today and it was like 1200rpm, 80 was like 1500rpm. Vettes have these kind of ratios. Still though 3.73s could be better all around. My 4.11s in my LT1 are nice for that setup but hwy isn't that great.

Whoever at Pontiac it was that decided to put blue wheels on any car should have been kicked right in the sack by an NFL kicker.
