Painting it before install would be the proper thing to do. Unfortunately timing on some things with my schedule and others just didn't let it happen.

Thats ok. the por15 will cover it nicely anyway.

I know it has been awhile, but the S60 is finally in with the three 20-mile break-in periods now complete. It is off to a local shop to tack the drag bar's u-bolts and chassis mounts tomorrow morning and then she is complete.

The gears are very quiet, but the spool is noisy around slow speed corners and, with the rod-end suspension, it sounds like the whole rear is going to fall out. If this was strictly a street car, I definitely would not have opted for the spool and rod-ended suspension. For my purposes though, it is fine.

Also note, that if someone is thinking about an S60 and they are planning to run a drag bar, order the rear without sway bar mounts. I was under the impression that the Spohn drag bar would bolt to the S60's "stock" sway mounts. It seems that the older "straight" bars did bolt to the "stock" mounts since some have posted photos of them here. My Spohn drag bar, however, had the shock offsets in the bar similar to the BMR's and UMI's. It appears that Shohn listened to the complaints about the interference with the shocks and re-designed them. Nevertheless, I had to cut off my S60's "stock" sway bar mounts and use those supplied by Spohn.

All in all, thank you Carl for a killer S60 ....
