It let's you know it's still working if the clicking is there. I'm glad it will always have two wheels peeling now and thankfully it isn't a daily. Reactions on peoples faces is priceless! Lol

I thought you were not to use full synthetic on the lockers?

Nope. It doesn't have clutches so no additive and synthetic is best

Synthetic here after the first 500 miles. Mine also got quieter after changing to heavy gear lube.

I don't know that the Wavetrac is better people have broken them and their are pictures here. I haven't seen many broke Lockers but they all MAY break.

I'm actually liking the noise now. LOL

I know the Wavetrac has that lifetime warranty which is nice but... Say I break it I would still need to pull it out, pay shipping back and forth (do they pay that under warranty? $25 ea), 1 week out/ 1 week back. The Detroit locker is really simple from what I saw it going together. You could buy the spare block, gears and springs and have them on the shelf just in case. If you were to break it then pull, install shelf parts and put back in (no shipping).... plus it is $400 compared to $1200.

Man, that sounds neat, I think I'll try one when I do a 4th gen rear swap on my 3rd gen LQ4 car. I already grenaded the junky Gov-Loc, time for a real locker!
