Valvoline 80w90 white bottle, or pay an extra 1 dollar and get the blue bottle durablend 80w90 with ford LSD addictive ( much cheaper then gm lsd addictive, and better ). Change out every 15k miles. get 2 bottle of gear oil. BTW order online at advance auto part and enter this code during check out BIG5 and get 5 dollar off 15 dollar. yesterday I bought 2 quart gear oil and gasket total is 12.99. dont plant to change out the rear end yet, being too lazy.

I put the cheapest non synthetic 80w/90 I can find, Napa stuff is like $3.79qt. Its just a 10 bolt I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Last changed i used Castrol hypoy c 80W90 and the gm additive. My 98 has an auburn diff so the non synthetic fluid is preferred. Otherwise i would have run a synthetic.
