Default Midwest Fabbed 9 with Kooks True Duals?

As stated, has this ever been tried?

If so, did it work?

Were any modifications needed?

Might be time to change out the Moser 12 bolt and get a little more exhaust flow.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I can't find anyone who has done it. I have a MWC 9" and I ordered the kooks true duals on June 14th, and I'm still waiting on them. They are suppose to be here this week, but we will see if that happens!!! It has pretty much pissed me off that I had to wait this long! As soon as the UPS man gets here I can give you an answer if it fits with the MWC 9" or not. I do have a MWC watts link also, my main concern is if it will clear the backbrace on the axle.

Perfect, I look forward to hearing it went well with your install.

I should have mentioned I want the Watts link too. I currently have the Fayes on my Moser 12 bolt and really like it.

KOOKS is seriously pissing me off!
I spoke with them on thursday and I was told they would be done late last week or early this week. I just asked again an this is what I got.

(On there facebook page)

ME
Guy's any chance your shipping the f-body true duals to maryland speed this week?

Kooks Custom Headers
They should be done this week, or the very beginning of next!

ME
wow, I ordered this thing 5 weeks ago, maryland speed said they had their order in a week prior to me ordering them, as they usually keep a few in stock. So is a 6 week wait normal?

ME
I'm going to delete this whole post as soon as I get a response, I don't want to make you guys look bad. I ordered your 1 7/8 f-body headers to go with the duals, they fit great! and obviously you guys are a very strong business. I'm just trying to figure out what the deal is. I was told thrusday over the phone by someone at kooks that they would ship to maryland speed late last week or early this week, and now it's not even certain if they are going to ship out this week at all, it could be next week?

Kooks Custom Headers
We have been working on these exhaust systems since Thursday, each one takes about 6-7 hours to make, after all the bending of the tubes is completed. The dual exhaust system we make once a couple of orders are compiled, because of how extensive the production run is. We are expecting all 20 systems to ship on Thursday, but because issues can arise during the production runs I try to give a estimated range. I am truly sorry for your wait time and we know that when you receive your suystem, it will be well worth the wait!

( I then deleted the whole post)

It just really make me mad, Michigan sux and I only get to drive my car 4-5 months out of the year. They just cut into a good 1.5 months of that. I didn't see anywhere that it said please allow 6 - 8 weeks for delivery. It doesn't help I just came off the 13 week wait for my MWC 9" at the end of may, only to go into another 6 -8 week wait for this exhaust system. I guess I get to drive my car for 1 - 2 months and then it will be time to put it away for winter. FML I'll have put a whole 2,000 miles on my car in 2 years by the time it comes back out of storage next spring.

same o'j why are you running rear O2's with no cats? I see you have a backbrace on you moser 9", it looks like moser stamped 9" housing has a little more room for the exhaust than a moser M9 or MWC 9" especially with the bigger backbrace on the fabricated rear ends.

I did find this thread with a MW 9 and true duals, not Kooks, but it looks promising.

I was getting ready to post that picture for all. The backbrace shouldn't be an issue at all and if it fits over the stamped 9 it should fit over the MWC housing with out to much issue. Granted the Kooks true dual is very new on the market and we have yet to install one here in house so we do not have any hands on information for everyone.

Did you all notice my post in the kooks true dual release my rear end is a mosier 9 inch also I don't think you will have a problem with the kooks true dual and the 9 inch its not a problem.

The 3rd member housing is wider on a fabricated 9", especially the MWC 9", you can just tell from pictures that the MWC is wider than the moser M9. Any chance you can get some close ups of the clearance over the axle with your moser 9", with the suspension at ride height?
