9 inch ?
9 inch ? My 9 inch has always had a whine to it. Different levels at different speeds. No whine up to 35ish, no whine in deceleration and no whine over 70. I've been driving with my cutout open lately and with it open it pretty much covers it up.
I was running down the interstate today, cutout closed, running about 70 mph and I guess bc the cutout hasn't been shut in a while, I was surprised how noticeable the whine was, especially at that speed. After accelerating a little over 70, around 75, you can't hear it.
I checked the fluid level, it's normal but how much whine is normal for an aftermarket rear and how much could be incorrect gear angle/alignment?

Certain performance gearsets can have some noticeable whine to them, which is exceptable. You can have two what appears to be identical gearsets, both set up the same, and one will end up being louder than the other. Bob
