Default 9" rear, but what brand???

As title states, I know I want to go with a 9" but I'm not sure of what brand to go with. Are there any benefits on one over the other? Would like some input from people running different brands. Was thinking of the stange 9 but haven't heard much about it? Any info is appreciated. Car is an 02 ws6 6 speed. Full exhaust and a lid is only mods for now until rear is purchased.

anything strange is top of the line IMO. Im running the Quick performance 9" with their axles. Im a happy customer and they have top of the line service. One of the main reasons I went with them is they are local to me.

I went with 35 spline axles, spool, aluminum thru bolt case, billet support, motive gears, 35 spline spool for around 2000 shipped.

I also talked to MWC about their fabricated housings, and if I had the extra $500 and couldve waited their wait time I wouldve went with their housing hands down. Their basic bolt in housing is $2700 shipped tough to go wrong there!

Strange Engineering does not manufacture a bolt-in 9 inch for the 82-02 f-body cars, but with the MWC fabricated 9 inch rearend you can have all the Strange internals.

Easy decision... The Midwest Chassis & Performance, Inc. fabricated 9 inch package is by far the most affordable, highest quality, bolt-in 9 inch you can buy. There are others out there but if you do enough research you will find the MWC rearend to be the best value.

http://www.midwestchassis.com/fabricated-9-specs.html

MWC is a direct dealer for Strange, Moser, Yukon, and several other driveline component manufacturers. We have the best deals and by far the most options of any rearend you choose for your f-body car.

Give us a call... we will shoot it to you straight and not sell you things just from one manufacturer just to make a buck or overkill your budget.

How long can you wait to get your new rear? If you want it asap after you place your order, the Moser rears ship out just two days after the order is received.

Moser nine inch rears, shipping to your door is included in the prices. Bob

I just got my MWC 9inch and its top quality for sure. Be prepared to wait though. It took 17weeks for me to get mine from the time I ordered to actually picking it up from the terminal.

Also make sure that your exhaust is tucked up high cause there standard cross-member did fit with my exhaust. So that put me down for another two weeks, cause they had to make a new one.

I shouldnt have any problems with the exhaust. It's tucked pretty good so hopefully that won't be an issue.

So I'm guessing since the wait it long, they build/make it as you order it??

thats right, they build them on order. They do that because everyone gets something a little different, they are a lot of options and you can narrow it as much as you need too, drain plugs, backbracing etc. It took mine i think 12 weeks to come in,but when i went to put it in the car, it fit in there as good as the factory rear did, and the torque arm is awesome and fits real nice, even being lowered.

We are building rearend packages that were ordered in early February right now so 17 weeks is not the case. There are always a few exceptions that will happen along the way, but when it comes down to things like non standard powdercoating colors, custom crossmembers, installed Watts links setups, and completely assembled rearend with custom brake packages, etc, it can take a bit more time.

MWC is a drag racing chassis shop that just so happens to offer a full line of bolt-in f-body components, and nothing but the highest quality, engineering, and low overhead costs do nothing but benefit you the customer.

The MWC 9" is the most true bolt-in 9 inch rearend on the market and offers more options than any other manufacturer. The best takes time, and there is a reason why we can't just ship production line rearends in just two days.

Do all your searches and shopping, and you will find the MWC fabricated 9" rearend package the best quality and value for your money. We can ship a rearend in two days for sure if it has to be that way, and if someone needs info on that then feel free to call.

In my case it did take 17 weeks, and the only thing added was brake lines and assembly. I am just telling the OP that it takes a long time to order a rear from MWC. The quality is great and I am very satisfied

We have installed a few of the MWC 9s in some customers cars. It is a super nice rearend with only the top quality materials used. MWC has started off like any other business (i.e. moser, strange, ect) when starting off it takes time to build a large crew. In order to build that large of a crew you have to make 1.) quality product 2.) Get your product out there so people know about how good it is. Doing this your business will grow allowing you to hire more people to increase production. MWC does I think an awesome job at getting these rearends done at the quality that they are providing. Quality work takes time.
