Need universal joint asstiance thanks:)
I have an aluminum driveshaft I want to replace both u- joints in. I know how to do this but my question is are the u-joint the same size on both ends? cause the one up on the transmission side looks bigger and and I can't press it out with my 12 ton press?(wtf?) dumthe differential side on my stock steel ds dumtheir looks to be some keeper bracket holding the caps on the open side but it's broke on one side? Thanks guys/gals.

Yes they are the same size and same joint. I like to use Precision 234 to replace the stockers. You must melt the plastic inside the joint to get it to release. If you don't you WILL bend the ears, they aren't that strong.

I just changed mine and the one that attaches to the rear end wasn't to bad once you melt the plastic. But the front joint that goes to the trans took some work. Just make sure you get as much of the plastic out that you can. Then use you press it should come out then. Make sure you use a 1 1/8 socket to receive the cap and 3/4 to push the joint out.
