What up with these 8.8 rears on Ebay. I was looking around on Ebay and came across a 8.8 rear listed on ebay. Is the following rear something we could use for our cars. Would else would be needed with this rear to work? What about upgrades?
"Ford 8.8 Complete Axle Assembly. This is a Ford Explorer axle assembly. It is complete with Disc Brake Calipers & Pads, Rotors & Parking Brakes. It includes a speed sensor for ABS brakes. The gear ratio is 3.55:1 with an open gear differential (no limited slip). NEW, never installed
This axle measures 59 1/2" wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface. The leaf spring perches are 39 1/2" center to center. The diff housing is offset approx. 2" to the right. The wheel bolt pattern is 5 X 4.5". It has 31 spline axle shafts."
