What rear end should i get for a 01 TA with 410whp?
its got 72k on it and in need of serious manual trans work including clutch, flywheel probably, rear end etc....
If upgrading to an 9" would be plenty sufficient to handle that power level, i see axle swaps online for $999-$3000-$4000+ once options are added.
I'm already probably going to spend $3000-5000 to have a shop do the repairs, they are recommending an ls7 flywheel and clutch for drive ability and power handling of less than 500 crank hp.
I can't spend $10k on just a rear end and transmission work on the car if thats possible, but im not locked into only a $1000 budget on the rear end if a Moser 9" fabricated unit would be substantially better with a true trac/tru lock or wave trac diff for $3000+.
I plan to keep the car a long time and its not daily driven, not taken to the track but would be nice to put MT DRs on it and make a few passes finally one day. I'd like to keep the cost to $5k or less.

Call up Midwest chassis, he can get you in a fab 9 inch with a torque arm for a great price, or could get you into a s60 from strange. Depends on your budget and time frame. I run all Mwc components and are high quality and do work, plus there customer service is great.

At this point I'd have to say a S60 or a 9" would be your best route to go so your investment will last you as long as you have the car and allow you to grow with performance.

Lol,ten bolt, strong, and m6 should never be said together,10 bolt will be fine as long as you stay away from stickey tires and dont do any hard launches, autos are fine m6s put alot more stress on them, also i would look into a monster stage 3,the ls7 is nice but i went with the monster, just stay away from spec,

I agree, I would save up for a Moser M9. The M9 is Moser's fabricated rear, the best rear on the market. Not only is it the best rear, you don't have a long lead time after you order one, to get it. An non powdercoated M9 ships out in just two days, powdercoated in four days. Below is my Camaro with the first M9 made for an F body. Bob
